Jerroms staff have nominated the Marie Curie Big Build Appeal as their charity for 2012 and will be helping to raise money for a new hospice for the terminally ill in the West Midlands region.
There is a vital and urgent need for a new hospice to provide additional expert care and a better quality of life for more terminally ill people and their families throughout Solihull, Birmingham and the West Midlands.
The new hospice will serve a population of around 3 million and will have an increased capacity with 24 single-occupancy en-suite bathrooms to allow privacy and dignity to patients, as well as allowing direct access into the extensive gardens and quiet areas. It will also provide expert care and support to terminally ill patients including a significantly expanded Day Therapy service with capacity for twice as many patients.
The new West Midlands Marie Curie Hospice will be one of the most modern of its kind in the UK - providing the very best care to local people with cancer and other terminal illnesses, along with vital support to their families.
